Boston Properties’ Flex Office Reaches The Hub on Causeway

Boston Properties’ BXP flexible office concept, Flex by BXP, has a new 35,000-square-foot address at The Hub on Causeway, in Boston per a report.

The company took the joint-venture (JV) route to develop The Hub with Delaware North as its partner. The project, a mixed-use one, worth $1.2 billion, includes an office tower, which will be occupied by Verizon Communications VZ and Boston-based cybersecurity company Rapid 7 RPD. Moreover, it includes an apartment tower, a 270-room CitizenM Hotel, Big Night Live Music venue, restaurant offerings like Guy Fieri Tequila Cocina, Banners Kitchen & Tap, Arclight Cinemas and a Star Market Grocery Store.

Boston Properties has collaborated with city-based construction management firm — Corderman & Co. — to complete the $6-million buildout for the Flex by BXP space. It is located on the third floor of the 31-storey office tower, and has been designed architecture and interior design firm Design

This downtown Miami office building spent $4M on renovations. But was it worth it?

An office building in downtown Miami completed a $4 million, year-long renovation in October 2019.

Now, its property owner is reaping the reward.

MetLife, the New York-based life insurance company, saw occupancy rates and leases increase at the Wells Fargo Center at 333 SE Second Ave. after it upgraded a 7,500-square-foot space on the ground floor.

The Edgewater-based interior design firm Insight Design was hired to convert a shell space, once planned to house a Wells Fargo bank branch, into a cafe and conference rooms exclusive to all of the building’s office tenants. It is the first time all office tenants have access to an amenity space in the building.

Three tenants signed a total of 50,000 square feet in the last two weeks, said Cushman & Wakefield Vice Chairman Brian Gale. Cushman & Wakefield manages the tower and oversees office leasing on behalf of MetLife.
