2021 Skoda Enyaq iV Interior Teased In Design Sketches

A full debut is planned for September 1.

Skoda is preparing for the launch of its first all-electric crossover, which will effectively become the brand’s most powerful production model to date. With the first teaser from earlier this month the Czech manufacturer announced it will reveal the Enyaq iV in full on September 1 in Prague, and today there’s another batch of teaser images to ease the wait.

This time around, the automaker is taking a look at the cabin of the EV, which has been designed to reflect “modern living environments.” As expected, the dashboard inside the car is dominated by a large 13-inch display, which controls many of the vehicle’s functions. There’s another display for the driver’s instrument cluster, positioned left of the main screen.

“The Enyaq iV benefits from the MEB platform’s long wheelbase, which – in relation to the body dimensions – offers an exceptionally spacious interior,” Norbert Weber, Head of Interior Design at the manufacturer, explains. “The flat floor, which lacks the central tunnel we find in vehicles with combustion engines, also contributes to this. We have used this conceptual feature to make the interior visually even airier and to create a feeling of even more space. This can be seen, for example, on the new dashboard, which is arranged over several levels.”

Enyaq iV: Spied And Teased

For the EV, Skoda will abandon its traditional trim structure and will instead introduce a new Design Selections range, which offers different material and color choices for the interior. Some of the trims use sustainable materials – one of them, for example, relies on seats made of 40 percent new wool and bear the Woolmark Company’s seal, while the remaining portion is polyester from recycled PET bottles.

The Enyaq iV will be a technological twin to the Volkswagen ID.4 and will mark the return of Skoda to a rear-wheel-drive layout. In its most powerful version, the EV will get a dual-motor setup with a peak output of 302 hp (225 kW) to become the most powerful model of the brand in its entire history.
